Prior to starting Sixth and Steel Interiors in 2018, Katharine earned her degree in Interior Design. She went on to work for local designers and home builders gaining experience in construction and residential design.

Katharine has always lived in North Carolina, putting down roots at the coast in Wilmington. Her background has shaped her into a wildly versatile designer - creating a business that thrives on distinct individual needs where no design is alike. Her love for people and deep acknowledgment and connection to those people drives her designs.

Katharine believes that "you should always want come home" and uses this principle to guide her work.

The way to her heart is through iced lattes, long walks with her sweet dog, Tyson, and movie nights with her family.
